EV charging infrastructure company EVRE announced its partnership with MoEVing, a tech-enabled electric fleet startup for urban mobility. With this, EVRE will set-up 1,000 EV charging stations across India within the next six months. These charging stations will be utilised by MoEVing and other EV fleet owners. The long-term partnership will also be based on an innovative business model, where charging stations can be cross-utilised. At present, in Bengaluru, MoEVing is using EVRE public charging stations and so is EVRE using MoEVing charging stations.

Under the partnership, EVRE will conceptualise the designing, manufacturing, establishing, operating and maintaining of the EV charging infrastructure. The technology for all the chargers, existing and upcoming, will be owned and operated by EVRE. On the other hand, MoEVing will help EVRE in the demand assessment of the sites to set up charging stations for higher utilisation.

Vikash Mishra, founder and CEO, MoEVing, said, “Charging infrastructure expansion should follow the telecom network expansion route. Accessibility to charging infrastructure is key to accelerating India’s electric vehicle adoption. This partnership with EVRE is an exciting endeavor in the larger EV space where both the partners will be cross-utilising the charging infrastructure built by us and EVRE. The partnership also helps us expand our fleet more optimally and ensure access for drivers to charging infrastructure.. This partnership will become a role model for building the EV ecosystem in India.”

Krishna K Jasti, co-founder and CEO, EVRE, said, “Electrification of logistics must form a priority for our mobility with the segment contributing a significant market share in the overall mobility sector in the country. With one-of-its-kind partnership across the country, MoEVing and EVRE will be able to establish an ideal EV charging ecosystem that will eventually help bring down the CO2 emissions by 5.4 tonnesand save 2.4 million litres of fossil fuel annually. Through such partnership, we at EVRE, are working towards helping EV players with solutions that help them leverage technologies with automation and increased efficiency for the end-users.”

The installation of charging stations will happen phase-wise and will include EVRE setting up 200 charging stations in Bengaluru, 200 in Hyderabad and the rest in Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Pune and Mumbai.
